Hello Year 1
I hope you have had a great Bank Holiday weekend celebrating VE Day. It was so lovely to see lots of colourful union jack bunting on peoples homes.Did you do anything special to celebrate? We had a BBQ which was lovely and I spent the day thinking about my Grandad who was in the war.
The weather has been so lovely its been great getting out in the garden and playing in the pool. You will be excited to hear that this week I will be getting my Puppy Duggee. We are so excited and have been preparing for his arrival. I will send you pictures once he is here.
This week our learning is sticking to the Dinosaur theme with some activities to help your sentence structure. In Maths we are revisiting some of our measuring work, along with some work on time, odd and even numbers and our times tables.
Once again it has been amazing seeing all the work you have been doing and I have loved commenting on the pieces I have seen.
A few of your parents have asked if it is okay to write some of your work in your books rather than type it, which is absolutely fine its good to practice writing.
I miss you all lots and look forward to seeing your work this week.
